i love figs.
which is weird, don't get me wrong, since i'm probably the only person under the age of 50 who even eats them. but big deal.
lately, i've been having these massive fig cravings. fig newtons never hit the spot, but i went to the market this morning to buy some anyway. guess what i find instead... fig jam! who knew about this and didn't tell me? not as fun as eating the actual fruit, but it will definitely suffice.
p.s. if anyone has a fig tree, please leave me your address in the comment box so that i can rob you of all your fig fruit in the middle of the night with pantyhose on my head.
art[ blu. photo model[ lennon. if you were wondering why i used these two photographs to accompany my fig entry, here is the reason: somehow, i imagined the bananas from blu's bananaman to be figs and i'd be swimming in them. i'd be the luckiest girl in the world. all senior citizens that pass by will grind their gums in glowing envy! as for the lennon photo, it reminded me of my uncle, the beautiful man who tended to the fig tree from my childhood so that i may eat them and grow up to be such a fig-loving loser.
